Kantsios Award for 2006
ThermoSense's Kantsios award for the 2006 Conference for the outstanding written submission was presented to G. M. Williams and A.M. Barter of Voxtel, Inc. for their paper "Dual-band MWIR/LWIR QUIP ratio radiometer for absolute skin temperature measurements". They presented their paper on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 during the PROCESS I Session at the Conference, held as part of the SPIE DSS Symposium and Exposition in Orlando Florida, USA.
The Award Chairperson for 2006, Ms Kathryn M. Knettel of United Space Alliance, who was also a Co-Chair of the conference and is the designated, lead Co-Chair for the 2007 meeting, conducted the ceremony.
The annual Kantsios Award is presented in honor of the memory of Andronicus C. Kantsios a former researcher at NASA Langley Laboratories and very active advocate and participant in the ThermoSense Conferences for many years. His biography can be found elsewhere on this website.
